The brainchild of PeaceNovato co-founder Don Foster, "Almanac Amnesty" drew 15 demonstrators and the Marin Independent Journal on a cold night in January 2004. To conform to Bay Area Air Quality rules, the fire was technically a cooking fire -- complete with marshmallows. And in the process of making a law-abiding political statement, a jolly time was had by all. Members of PeaceNovato, with Ericka Erickson of the Marin Grassroots Leadership Network, gathered at the Civic Center following a march from Dolores Park. The San Franacisco event was part of the International Day of Protest, September 28, 2003.

PeaceNovato Co-Founder and Co-Chair Don Foster resurrected his classic 1965 Mustang for the Novato Fourth of July 2004 parade. PeaceNovato members attached signs to their cars and traveled in tandem to the Global Day of Action in San Francisco on March 20, 2004. The event was a protest on the one-year anniversary of the bombing of Iraq.
